Dr. Farrar is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Rachael Frisbie to our team.

Dr. Frisbie is a native of Brentwood, TN and graduated from Father Ryan High School in Nashville. From there, she received degrees in Biology and Psychology from Birmingham-Southern College, where she attended with both academic and athletic scholarships and graduated Magna Cum Laude. At Southern, she made the All-Conference and the Academic All-American teams for womens’ tennis. Dr. Frisbie attended the University of Florida College of Dental Medicine on the Deinheisser Scholarship for Leadership, and graduated near the top of her class while serving as class president. It was while in dental school that she became interested in orthodontics, and began researching and publishing articles in the field. Her educational abstracts have been accepted and published by the International Association for Dental Research. She completed her orthodontics residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC in 2006. Here she was Chief Resident and served on the CNMC craniofacial team for two years. She has extensive experience with cleft lip and palate, TMD, and surgical orthodontics. Dr. Frisbie has a specific interest in occlusion, and practices with the Six Elements technique developed by her mentor and friend, Dr. Larry Andrews, who developed and copyrighted the modern straight-wire bracket that we use today in orthodontic practices around the world.

Dr. Frisbie is a member of the American Dental Association the American Association of Orthodontists. She recently became inducted as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Diplomate staus is achieved by less than 20% of orthodontists nationwide.

In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two very spoiled dogs Flounder and Trout, both rescued lab mixes. When not carting dogs around on field trips, Rachael enjoys keeping in shape, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends.
